Help and questions

My step count looks wrong or is delayed

Steps shows what is in the Apple Health app, so open Health and compare. Your Apple Watch sends steps to your iPhone in batches, so the iPhone can run a few minutes behind. Widgets and complications refresh on iOS's schedule; opening Steps updates them.

I don't see any steps

Open the Health app › Sharing › Apps › Steps, and make sure Steps and Distance are on. Then check that Apple Health is switched on in Steps › Settings.

The Apple Watch app or complication is missing

On your iPhone, open the Watch app, scroll to Available Apps and tap Install next to Steps. Then add the Steps complication by editing a watch face.

How do I disconnect Steps?

Turn Apple Health off in Steps › Settings to stop Steps reading your data. To remove its permission completely, use Health › Sharing › Apps › Steps.
