Terms of Use

Effective 9 October 2026

These terms are between you and Osborne Saldanha ("I", "me") about your use of the Steps app and this website. By using Steps you agree to them. If you download Steps from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms supplement it.

Using Steps

I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Steps on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. Please don't copy, sell, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

Not medical advice

Steps is for general fitness and information only. It is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice. Step counts and distances are estimates from your device's sensors. Talk to a doctor before making big changes to your activity, especially if you have a health condition. Stop and seek help if you feel unwell.

Accuracy and timing

Steps shows the data it receives from Apple Health. Widgets and Apple Watch complications refresh on a schedule decided by iOS, so they can lag behind your real count.

Beta versions

Builds shared through TestFlight may be unfinished and can contain bugs. Use them knowing that features may change or stop working.

Changes and availability

I may update, change or stop offering Steps at any time. I may also update these terms, and the effective date above will change when I do. Continuing to use Steps after a change means you accept it.

No warranty and limit of liability

Steps is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of Steps. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that can't be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
